How long have you lived in your council?
Born and raised here. Went to Ballarat High School. Family’s lived in Ballarat for generations.
Community involvement: Policeman in Ballarat for approximately 16 years, I was able to help and protect a lot of people, the victims of crime.
Associated with a political party or movement? An Independent candidate. I was briefly a member of the United Australia Party, their memberships were free. I’ve since cancelled my membership.

Campaign budget? Receiving financial support? I haven’t accepted any donations. My campaign is only funded by me. It will cost me a few thousand dollars…
Three most important issues in your ward?
Real community consultation… Delivering the basics very well… Fix our roads. Keep our rates down. Collect our rubbish weekly, not fortnightly. Fix our footpaths. Free parking to support small businesses. Street cleaning. Sports facilities. Heritage protection. Sufficient infrastructure for growth, including drains. New, improved children’s playgrounds. Elderly, Disability and Youth Services. More green open spaces… Public Amenities. Services for the homeless.
