How long have you lived in your ward? Moved to Buninyong in 2017 from Canberra.

Community involvement: Part of a team that has revitalised the Buninyong Primary School’s flower and vegetable growing program. Buninyong Town Hall Community Asset Management Committee – we have re-established the gardens outside the Seniors Club and planted trees in the car park. Friends of the Canadian Corridor. Art Gallery of Ballarat Association – conduct guided tours of the collection.

Three most important issues in your ward?

Planning and managing growth must be seen as the City’s most pressing issue. We will only get one chance to do it right. Civic vision that guided the development of today’s Ballarat must be extended to both growth areas and infill developments… Terrible winter air quality in Buninyong must be cleaned up. On still winter days you can barely see across the road through the smoke…
