HAIR Identity Studio is a private hairdressing salon founded on a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and client-focused care, created by salon owner Teymara Schickerling, with over 20 years’ experience in the hairdressing industry.

Teymara has a meticulous and thoughtful approach to the hair services she provides, earning wide recognition within the community. She was recently named a finalist in the 2025 Federation University Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards (Ballarat Times News Group Micro/Home-Based Business category).

Working by appointment only, Teymara offers hair services in a quiet, personalised setting, far removed from the busy atmosphere of traditional salons. With support strategies in place for individuals with sensory sensitivities, social anxiety, and diverse communication preferences (including autistic and neurodivergent clients), the salon prioritises comfort, autonomy, and emotional wellbeing.

Each booking is intentionally scheduled to provide space for clients to feel in control of their appointment. With a thorough intake process, flexible service options, and adaptive communication styles, no one is expected to mask or conform to a mould during their appointment.
