THE popular BallaRatCat Comedy night is set to return tonight, Friday 5 June, at the Ballarat Performing Arts Centre (BPAC).

Beginning in 2013, BallaRatCat ran comedy shows at The George Hotel until 2022.

“While there were a few years of forced time off, it now has a beautiful new home and returning to deliver big name comedians,” said producer Luke Morris.

“BallaRatCat has brought the likes of Tom Gleeson, Randy Feltface, Sammy J, Geraldine Hickey, Claire Hooper, and Peter Helliar to Ballarat.

“Now at the beautiful chapel venue at the Ballarat Performing Arts Centre, BallaRatCat Comedy will deliver big name comedians with a great atmosphere, high ceilings, and a large organ.”

Morris said an unmatched line-up for the first of ongoing monthly performances features Richard Stubbs, Ash Fils-Aime and Anna Perry.

“Richard Stubbs is one of the best comedians Australia has produced,” he said.

“Famous from Triple M, 3AW and ABC radio, and late night TV, he has hosted major awards nights and performed on stages across the world.

“Ash Fils-Aime was born in Haiti, grew up in the USA, and has toured as far abroad as Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.

“He is a rapid mouth, quick wit, American with a new Australian citizenship and a lot of confusion about our language.

“Anna Perry is a mum who will have the audience in stiches with offbeat perspectives and impeccable comic timing.

“She has performed with Jimeoin, Ross Noble, Arj Barker, and Denise Scott.

Tickets are $32 to $35 and available via Comedy Victoria, BPAC, and Humanitix. The performance starts at 8pm.
