THE Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute will deliver BMI Live concerts on Friday evenings, having received Revive Live funding from the Federal Government.
Olybird, and the Milla Williams Duo will perform tonight, Friday 7 February at 6.30pm, while Hot Club Swing, and Amie Brûlée are booked in for Friday 21 February at 7.30pm
The Revive Live grants aim to boost events with a live music focus, activate performance venues in a new way, and in turn, support arts communities across the country.
The grant also exists to encourage artists to connect with one another, as well as venues and potential new fans in the audience.
“By encouraging the return of live music, the program not only enriches cultural experiences but also bolsters the economic and social vitality of regional communities like Ballarat,” a statement from the BMI said.
“Through this grant, the BMI has been able to curate a series of dynamic live music events, showcasing talented artists and creating memorable experiences for our community.
“By hosting these events, the BMI is proud to contribute to the cultural vibrancy of Ballarat while honoring our mission as a cornerstone of arts and education in the region.
“We invite everyone to join us at these exciting events and experience the transformative power of live music.
“Together, let’s celebrate the revival of live performance and its lasting impact on our community!”
