SOMETHING very exciting is happening in Creswick.

It’s no longer a small town that people drive through to get from Ballarat to Daylesford. It’s now very much a destination in its own right.

A new generation of entrepreneurs is revitalising Creswick and headlining this push is Casey Leneghan, executive director and owner of Marshmallow, a hair salon that any major city would be proud to call its own.

Just over a year ago Ms Leneghan chose Creswick to create a salon that would look different and make a difference to people wanting to feel good about themselves by having their hair styled to suit their personality and lifestyle.

With her vibrant personality and skills gained from being trained by some of the best stylists including Toni & Guy in London and Edward Beale in Toorak and Sydney, Ms Leneghan has become so successful that four hair stylists, whom she admires and who share the same philosophy and values, are now working at Marshmallow with clients who come from as far as Melbourne as well as the surrounding district.

Joining Ms Leneghan and the team of Sophie and Corina, is executive stylist Adam Noel who has worked with the salon owner previously and brings over thirty years’ experience with him.

“I can’t be more excited that Adam, an experienced stylist, has joined Marshmallow,” Ms Leneghan said.

“What I love is that Adam has so many loyal clients who will continue to have their hair styled by him.

“This in turn means that there will be a whole influx of new people coming into Creswick, supporting local businesses, shopping for clothes, gifts and flowers, drinking coffee at one of the great cafes, enjoying a meal and music at one of the bars, bistros or hotels.

“That’s what’s so good about working in a small community. We all benefit by working in together.”

Marshmallow has certainly started a revolution in Creswick. And that’s just the way Ms Leneghan likes it.
