Dance, theatre, circus and more

SEE Swan Lake like you have never seen it before.
Circa, an international acclaimed performance company, is bringing Duck Pond to Her Majesty’s Theatre next Wednesday.
“Our last performance, Yong, went so well for us,” said marketing specialist Simon Keck.
“It was really great to see community coming out and supporting a locally created show.
“Circa’s executive director, Shaun Comerford, is also a Ballarat resident and we hope the community will support Duck Pond.
“Circa tour internationally, and this is their first ever show in Ballarat.
“It’s filled with aerials and acrobatics and the design of it is visually stunning.”
Circa, based in Brisbane since 2004, has performed in more than 45 countries as well as across Australia, combining dance, theatre and circus in their performances.
Duck Pond combines the enchantment of Swan Lake with the thrill of the circus and a dash of burlesque.
“It is full of sumptuous aerials, jaw-dropping acrobatics and of course feathers!” said Mr Keck.
“You will be swept away by this tale of swans, hapless princes, a flipper-wearing duck army and a burlesque black swan.
“Touching, funny and utterly entertaining, Duck Pond is a tale of identity and finding your true self.”
Duck Pond is suitable for all ages and will be performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat on Wednesday 10 September at 7.30pm
Tickets are on sale now at the Her Majesty’s Theatre Ballarat Box Office in person or via 03 5333 5888 or the website at hermaj.com/events/duck-pond-2025.
