A SIX-month collaboration between the Pyrenees Wine Region and the George Hotel will provide a chance to try award-winning wines.

The cellar door experience, which opened this week, is designed to provide a more accessible opportunity to try products from Blue Pyrenees Estate, Glenlofty Estate, Summerfield Winery, Grape Farm Winery, Peerick, Quartz Hill, Taltarni Vineyards, Dalwhinnie Wine, Amherst Winery, Mrs Bakers Still House, and Mount Avoca.

“The Pyrenees Wine Bar is about connection, bringing our region’s stories, people, and wines to life right here in Ballarat,” Michael O’Hara, Wine Pyrenees president said.

“It’s an opportunity for visitors to experience the quality and spirit of the Pyrenees in a relaxed, approachable way.”

The pop-up is open from 4pm until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 11am until 4pm on weekends.

There will be a meet the maker event each Friday evening where community members can chat with winemakers and distillers from the region.
