UNDER normal circumstances, making the trek to see all of Australia’s ‘Big Things’ landmarks would entail a lot of time and a lot of petrol.

Thankfully, a new exhibition via ArtHouse at the RACV Goldfields Resort means you won’t have to travel very far to see the attractions in one place.

Big Things for a Big Country Road Trip, created by artist Holly-Anne Buck, who uses the pseudonym Collagism, showcases large-scale tourist landmarks using AI and traditional collage techniques.

RACV head of visual arts Mardi Nowak said the exhibition is using innovative technology to explore some of Australia’s cherished cultural assets.

“With Big Things for a Big Country Road Trip, Collagism really takes us on a journey through some of our most-loved culture, adding new layers of meaning and exploration,” she said.

“This is an exhibition that the whole family can enjoy, all while taking in the beauty of the natural surrounds of the RACV Goldfields Resort.”

Visitors are invited to engage with the works in a hands-on manner by creating their own postcards using collage or drawing.

An outdoor gallery is also complementing the main show with many of Collagism’s artworks dotted about the venue’s grounds.

Big Things for a Big Country Road Trip is on show and free to visit until 16 March.

As well as the current ArtHouse offering, RACV Goldfields Resort’s Remix, Remake, Rearrange exhibition is also on display at the site’s Pro Shop until 2 March.

Those interested in the latter can receive a 40 per cent discount to attend the show should they stay three nights or more at the resort as a member.

The ArtHouse space is located at 1500 Midland Highway, Creswick.
