BELOVED iconic Australian children’s television staple, Play School, is hitting the road in 2025 for a live national tour, and stopping off at Mount Helen’s Founders Theatre on Sunday 6 April.

Starring the Play School presenters children know from the screen, and of course Big Ted, Little Ted, Jemima, Kiya and Humpty, the Once Upon A Time stage show will include songs, dances, and stories.

With a focus on classic nursery rhymes, the production will feature the stories of Little Miss Muffet, the Incy Wincy Spider, and Humpty Dumpty, and popular songs like Der Glumph and Heads and Shoulders.

Play School LIVE 2025 has a nursery rhyme focus.

“There’s going to be lots of nursery rhymes, a story, and of course, all the toys!” said presenter Emma Palmer.

Play School LIVE is an initiative of Kids Promotions and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and will stop at 14 towns across Victoria.

“Play School LIVE… [will be] bringing the energy and entertainment of Australia’s favourite children’s show to life in an intimate and interactive setting,” a statement from Kids Promotions said.

It’s three o’clock on the whale clock.

“For the past 16 years, Play School LIVE has been engaging children, exploring the world through play, music, art, and the imagination. “Once Upon a Time is a wonderful opportunity for families to create lasting memories while celebrating the joy and imagination that Play School has brought to generations of Australian children.”
