SCHOOL holiday fun is back at Maze House in Newlyn North, with adventure, prizes and old school games on offer.

The 30-year-old hedge maze is located within five acres of garden, and owner Trish Kevin said autumn is the most beautiful time to visit the site.

“It’s a great time to get out in the autumn garden because a lot of our trees are turning and our veranda is covered in red vines,” she said.

“This is the most beautiful time to be out because we have a lot of autumn colour.”

Maze House is open each day of the school holidays from 10am until 4.30pm and entry is $12 for children and $14 for adults.

Children can take part in a scavenger hunt around the maze to win a prize and visitors can play old carnival games such as return bowling and knock ’em down. “We’ve got our 30-year-old hedge maze and there is a maze hunt for prizes,” said Ms Kevin.

“As well as that, we have a range of outdoor, old time, original, carnival games.”

Ms Kevin encouraged families to take the short drive to Maze House this school holidays.

“This autumn is going to be beautiful, barmy weather and a drive through the scenic landscapes between Creswick and Daylesford is something to behold at this time of year,” she said.

“It’s just great fun.”
