ARE you up to the big Ballarat Burger Challenge?

A campaign led by Commerce Ballarat, residents are encouraged to back the city’s hospitality businesses throughout this week’s lockdown, enjoying some takeaway burgers at home in the process.

Running until Thursday, 3 June, it’s also an opportunity to mark tomorrow, Friday, 28 May’s National Burger Day.

Commerce Ballarat CEO Jodie Gillett hopes the community will support local cafes, pubs and producers at lunch and dinner time over the next seven days. Some prizes will also be up for grabs.

“We’ll be asking people to upload a photo of them and their burger to go into the draw to win some prizes, including vouchers to participating venues,” she said.

“There’s a two-hundred-dollar prize for Insta, a two-hundred-dollar prize for Facebook, and a third prize for people who enter the draw and have done seven burgers in seven days.

“Just tag your photos with #burgerchallenge2021.”
