Perfect, pretty presents? That’s a wrap
WRAPPING presents can be tedious, but it’s something Liz Branagh has enjoyed mastering over the years, never finding it a chore.
The hands behind small business, Ballarat Gift Wrapping are hers, making Christmases and birthdays much easier for busy present-givers.
With three children of her own, Mrs Branagh knows “every mum loves to outsource.”
“I take bookings and operate the business from home. People drop off their gifts to me with everything labelled; who the gifts are from and who they’re for,” she said.
“Very organised people often drop them off in washing baskets, and in 24 or 48 hours, they can pick them up all wrapped and categorised, with their labels removed. Everything is all sorted for them.”
Gift-givers can select from two styles, either a traditional look or a wrap that’s a little more “luxe.”
“I do just a wrap and a tie, or I can do wrap, ribbon, embellishments and gift tags. People can choose whatever they like. We can collaborate to make something bespoke.
“I normally post the styles, or if people have personal preferences, they can ask. Usually, everyone is so happy that they don’t have to wrap the gifts themselves that they let me do my thing,” Mrs Branagh laughed.
“Some clients really want specific looks for each of their children, for example, others just like something basic with a little bit of detail.”
Having received some return clients this Christmas season, she said every bit of feedback has been positive.
“Everyone’s loved it. They’ve said they’re glad they found the service because it’s been super helpful at busy times.
“Blokes are getting onto it now and are booking in for their wives’ gifts,” Mrs Branagh said.
“It’s just like picking up a nice coffee from somewhere. People love outsourcing, it’s convenient and easy. They can forget about wrapping the night before.”
