BALLARAT’S SES Unit is bringing together volunteers and the broader community to raise money for the organisation at a gala event.
The function, to be held on Saturday 24 May, will be held at The Grand Ballarat with live music entertainment from local act Shell Yeah!.
This year marks 50 years of the Victorian SES and the fundraiser aims to recognise the work of local volunteers with all money raised going towards resources and equipment.
Businesses are invited to support the fundraising event by donating items which can be auctioned.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and support the incredible work of our SES volunteers,” Sam Lomholt, Ballarat SES Unit volunteer said.
“Every dollar raised will go directly towards upgrading our facilities, creating a space that truly reflects the dedication and pride of our volunteers.”
The event also falls just after Wear Orange Wednesday, an annual day where the community is encouraged to wear orange to support SES volunteers, and during national volunteer week.
Businesses interested in donating are asked to contact Ms Lomholt by emailing [email protected].
