BFNL weekend games off
THE Ballarat Football Netball League has suspended all this weekend’s matches across all grades and competitions.
In a statement released early this afternoon, the League said the move was inline with the current snap lockdown and that at this stage games would not be rescheduled at this stage.
“Health and safety of the wider BFNL community is of the utmost importance in any decision that is made regarding competitions, along with the advice provided by health authorities, state government and AFL Victoria,” the statement said.
“No points or percentage shall be awarded to any team. Points previously allocated for a bye will be removed, with no further points awarded for future scheduled byes to ensure ladder integrity.
“The possibility of shifting round seven to the Queen’s Birthday weekend will be investigated pending discussions with clubs.”
If the snap lockdown lifts in time for next weekend, round eight games will go ahead a as planned on 5 June.
