Christmas Ray of love as gifts distributed
THE festive effort by Ray White Ballarat staff has paid off with nearly two-hundred toys donated to the Salvation Army so kids in need across the region have a present to open on Christmas Day.
Going throughout December, the endeavour was part of the Lydiard Street based real estate agency’s A Little Ray of Giving initiative, which runs across the Ray White Group.
Phillip Lee, director of Ray White Ballarat, said a big thank you goes out to clients, staff, members of the community, the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast and staff and families of Goodstart Early Learning in Wendouree who put toys under the Christmas tree in the Ray White Ballarat office over the last three weeks.
“We had the pleasure of handing over almost 200 toys over to Merv Lincoln from the Salvation Army this week to distribute to those in need this Christmas,” Mr Lee said.
“The generous contributions of toys will help put a smile on a young child’s face this Christmas.”
This is the eighth year that Ray White has coordinated the program and in 2019 more than 340 offices across Australia and New Zealand helped raise 30,000 gifts for disadvantaged families for Christmas.
