City brings seasonal spirit

EASTER may start tomorrow but the holiday cheer began earlier this week with a launch event from City of Ballarat staff.

Neon lighting installations and large Easter egg displays sat in Sturt Street for the first time to help ring in the season.

The attractions were created by artist Carla O’Brien to be in display until Sunday, 16 April, featuring QR codes with links to holiday activities listed at the Ballarat in the Know website.

Highlighted events over Easter include the free Power FM easter Egg Hunt this Saturday at Alfred Deakin Place and a Western United vs Central Coast Mariners game at Mars Stadium from 3pm tomorrow.

City of Ballarat mayor Cr Des Hudson took part in the seasonal launch with children Chet and Willow.
