APPLICATIONS are open for two of the City of Ballarat’s grant programs.
Community groups can apply for the City of Ballarat Community Impact Grants program and the city partnerships grants program, which each have different purposes.
The community impact grant program provides small-scale funding for projects, events and initiatives that create participation and support inclusion.
It is designed for community organisations, not-for-profits and volunteer-led groups and funding between $5,000 and $20,000 is on offer.
The city partnerships program is focused on long‑term strategic partnerships that align with the municipality’s goals.
Multi‑year funding is awarded to well‑established organisations that have a record for completing projects that provide community benefits.
Partnerships are considered for funding exceeding $20,000. There is a community stream and a commercial stream.
The multi‑year agreement can be for up to three years.
“We are incredibly proud to work so closely with the community in these partnerships and we have seen some terrific examples of what can be achieved when we work together,” said mayor Cr Tracey Hargreaves.
“These grants represent more than just funding, they are a show of confidence in the people and groups who help make Ballarat a great place to live.
“I urge anyone with a good idea and a passion for community to get involved.”
