City survey phones it in
THE annual municipal community satisfaction survey is underway, with the City of Ballarat’s performance under the microscope until Monday, 21 February.
State Government mandated, and run but an external service provider, the survey takes the form of a cold telephone call.
Mayor Cr Daniel Moloney said the process was essential to ensure the effectiveness of the City during the ongoing pandemic.
“It’s even more vital than ever during a pandemic to ensure our services, many of which have had to go online or pivot in other ways, are still meeting our residents’ needs,” he said.
“I would encourage anyone who gets a call from National Field Services who fits our representative sample to take part in the survey and provide us with necessary feedback.”
The survey will comprise a minimum of 400 interviews from a cross section of residents, and look at factors from construction and governance to community buildings and customer service.
“We are elected to represent the people, so we need to know ways we can make our services better and more effective,” Cr Moloney said.
“This survey is one way of helping us to determine where we are serving our community well and where we can make some improvements.”
