THE City of Ballarat’s customer experience staff have collectively been named Victorian Solver of the Year by cities technology company Snap Send Solve for the second year in a row.
The municipality’s use of the organisation’s self-titled Snap Send Solve app, which allows resident to report community issues, saw the City attain the highest star rating by users of the platform.
Taking home the Customer Experience Award, City of Ballarat deputy mayor Cr Ben Taylor said the accolade is emblematic of the municipality’s dedication to the community.
“Our commitment to community feedback has been recognised two years running and we remain dedicated to providing the best possible service to our community,” he said.
“To win this customer service award is a great achievement by all staff involved.”
First introduced to the region in 2022, the Snap Send Solve platform is being expanded with two new features including the Squads function, which will allow users to create groups to keep updated together on how reports are being handled.
Additionally, reported issues, or snaps, are also being made public, allowing the situation, location and photo to be viewed online.
Cr Taylor said he is excited to see the new features being utilised in the region.
“These new features will bring communities together in their mission to keep public spaces well maintained through more effective information sharing, while also reducing the number of duplicate jobs coming through to Council for the same issue,” he said.
“We look forward to seeing the results of the new features in the coming months.”
The Snap Send Solve app is free and is available for Apple and Android phones.
