Pitches will be made to community at Buninyong Town Hall in November.

IF you’ve got a great community project idea, but don’t have funding then Community Bank Buninyong’s SparkTank initiative might be the answer you’re looking for*.

Over 14 years, the local organisation has already returned over $2,000,000 to meaningful community projects, but this year they’ll distribute up to $50,000 on the one night.

This is the sort of game-changing impact community banking has and why building community is at the forefront for this award-winning local organisation.

Community Bank Buninyong is calling on members of local community groups to be part of SparkTank which will be a vibrant and community-focused event. They are looking for bold ideas, innovative ideas and stand-out creative projects that local groups can bring to life with their support*.

“We’re currently calling on all groups to really think about the impact they can have locally,” said Community Bank Buninyong’s communications lead Sam Elshaug.

“We’re looking for groups to scope projects they can undertake and consider applying for funding. We’re wanting to particularly appeal to groups that haven’t worked with us before.

Community Bank Buninyong branch manager Randall Dreger and partnerships lead Kelly Bevan invite organisations to spark up for SparkTank!

“Naturally, we can’t fund everyone, but we’re keen to understand what level of interest there is to also make improvements in the program next year.”

Community Bank Buninyong’s first SparkTank event will be held in Buninyong on Tuesday 12 November 2024, however applications are now being accepted for impactful projects.

The Buninyong Town Hall will host an all-of-community event that will see selected groups pitch for their share of up to $50,000 of community investment funding*.

“We are truly excited about the level of enthusiasm in our community both for SparkTank and delivering impactful projects all round,” said Community Bank Buninyong’s partnerships lead Kelly Bevan.

Pitches will be made to community at Buninyong Town Hall in November.

“The next stage is for our panel to assess each application and determine the final groups who will pitch publicly at the SparkTank event in November.

“We’ve got LJ from Power FM as MC on the night, plus a panel of community representative judges.”

SparkTank will be a fun, local event bringing community groups together for a night of entertainment, encouragement and cheering on community organisations for the work they do. SparkTank applications are open until 8 September 2024.
