THE Ballarat community will be thrilled to know that in response to popular demand the team behind CresFest 2023 is offering day tickets over the weekend of 1 and 2 April.

In a nod towards those who like it all wrapped up in a nice package, the organisers are presenting two bundles.

Choose between the Saturday Tix and Lunch bundle that includes a delicious pub lunch at the famous Farmers Arms Hotel, and the Sunday Tix and High Tea bundle which offered in partnership with the RACV Goldfields Resort.

There’s also a shuttle bus running around Creswick and then into Ballarat on Friday and Saturday nights, after the final concert.

Put that together with the V-Line hourly service to Creswick, and you could spend a happy day wandering the streets of Ballarat’s beautiful little sister, dip in and out of concerts, hear heart-warming, hilarious and moving conversations, learn dance styles from belly dancing to ballet, and join the massive parade and salsa dance extravaganza on Saturday afternoon

All without spending anything on petrol!

On both Saturday and Sunday there’ll be 10 plus venues filled with music and dance, as well as heaps of activities in the street, and lots for the little ones to do.

CresFest is a community-wide project with hardly a business or group in the town of just over 3000 that is not getting involved, and it really shows.

High tea at the RACV Goldfields Resort can be bundled with day tickets on Sunday.

Event director Judy Turner is proud as punch of what the town has created.

“At our volunteer training session last Sunday,” she said. “The excitement was palpable.

“People are delighted to have the chance to show off our town to the wider community, and thrilled at the program that’s coming here from around the world and the nation.”

Buying tickets is easy as going to cresfest.com.au/tickets and choosing between a weekend ticket, a day ticket or one of the just released bundles.

“We’ve capped the weekend tickets at 1000 to make sure everyone gets a chance to see the artists they want to see,” Ms Turner said.

“From international stars to local artists, pretty much everyone is playing three times across the weekend, so no one misses out.”

As part of next weekend’s CresFest, organisers are offering one lucky patron a chance to bring a friend. To win another ticket email [email protected] to go into the draw.

If you are successful head to the festival hub with your existing ticket to claim a second ticket of the same value -weekend or day ticket – plus a Creswick Woollen Mill gift pack.

Entries close Wednesday, 29 March and the winner notified on Thursday 30 March by email.
