Eat, sip and shop tonight in town
PLATE Up Ballarat’s Eat Sip Shop evening will hit the catwalk tonight, Thursday 30 May at the Mining Exchange.
Seats are available in the Grandstand for anyone to enjoy a fashion parade featuring some of the city’s best boutique retailers, and browse booths filled with mini stores.
The showcase brings together 18 retail boutiques of clothing, jewellery, footwear, cosmetics, cosmetic services and homewares, with salons. Some of the featured businesses include Polly Shoes, Hattie and the Wolf, Sweet Fern, Three Times Blest, Ivy Hairdressing and The Makeup Hub.
The event opens to the general public at 7.15pm by gold coin donation and Plate Up Ballarat Director, Kate Davis said attendees can “expect a really incredible runway show” while supporting an important cause.
“The biggest thing is that we’re raising money for WRISC Family Violence Support. With more police coming into Ballarat because of family violence, it’s time to support WRISC,” she said.
A $25 ticket includes a glass of sparkling on arrival, nibbles from the grazing table and stand seating. These are available via stickytickets.com.au/83136/eat__sip__shop.aspx.
The event runs between 6pm and 10pm tonight, Thursday 30 May at the Mining Exchange. Doors for ticketed guests open at 5.45pm.
The Forge Pizzeria is also cooking up a sit-down dinner during the evening which has sold out. The event is brought to you by Ballarat Boutique, The Forge, Gilbert and Graze, and Regional Wine Sales Victoria.
