BOOK borrowing for readers in Ballarat East has just become more convenient and accessible.

The Ballarat Research Hub at the Eureka Centre can now be selected as a pick-up point for print and audio books, magazines, DVDs and other items reserved and loaned through Ballarat Libraries online.

Eureka Centre manager Anthony Camm said borrowers can choose to collect at ‘Eureka Library’ when reserving their resources on the Central Highlands Libraries website, or the Libraries Victoria app.

“For the last month we’ve been offering the service to pick up books from the Eureka Centre, and it really complements our aim to connect as strongly as possible with the Ballarat community, especially those in Eureka and Ballarat East,” he said.

“We’ve got a few people already regularly taking advantage of the new service, and we’re keen to spread the word.

“Alongside the library borrowing, our strong program of events mostly built around talks, history and heritage, and our children’s and neighbourhood house workshops, there are so many wonderful reasons for people to take a visit to the Eureka Centre.”

Library pick-up at the Ballarat Research Hub at the Eureka Centre operates Monday to Thursday from 10am to 4.30pm.
