Find handmade treasures at winter market
THE town of Buninyong is embracing the cold weather with a winter market later this month.
The Buninyong Village Market will be held around the Town Hall with opportunities for attendees to also explore local shops and cafes.
There will be more than 90 stalls of handmade goods, plants and food both inside the Town Hall and outside.
“We’re completely booked out indoor and outdoor,” said Lisa Cressey, market manager.
“We have our usual amazing food vendors and stall holders like Vietnamese Food House, Kilderkin and Red Duck.
“There will also be lots of high-end handmade crafts.”
For the first time, the market will also include Devonshire Tea made by the Buninyong CWA.
“The CWA Buninyong has just started up, so we are going to have Devonshire Tea coming out of the kitchen in the Town Hall,” said Ms Cressey.
Buninyong Village Markets occur around five times a year and Ms Cressey said it’s great to have so much community support.
“It’s pretty amazing,” she said.
“We’ve obviously got a really well patroned market. We’ve turned it more into an event than a usual market so people will come out.
“We’ve got stallholders who’ve been coming for years because it’s a good market.”
The Buninyong Village Market will be on Saturday 27 July from 1pm until 5pm.
