THE third year of a program aimed at developing the next wave of leadership in the region concluded earlier this month.

All five students in this year’s intake of the Cafs Emerging Leaders Program expanded their leadership capabilities through the 12-month initiative.

Delivered in partnership with BlueChip Minds, the offering provides opportunity for participants to grow their leadership skills with the support of industry mentors and facilitators.

Jackie Mason is among the graduating students, and said she found the program invaluable as a way of developing her capabilities in the workplace.

“The program was incredibly insightful, helping me gain clarity on my career aspirations and the steps needed to achieve them,” she said.

“It also guided me in defining the type of leader I want to be, while equipping me with the tools and knowledge for success.

“Additionally, the program provided valuable opportunities to connect with like-minded peers and receive mentorship from Cafs leaders, further accelerating my personal and professional growth.”

It is believed the program has so far been a complete success for participants, with all graduates advancing to higher duties, permanent positions or short-term leadership roles.

Cafs’ executive manager for people and engagement Dylan Billington said the Emerging Leaders Program is an important way to bolster growth in the region.

“We are incredibly proud to be able to run this flagship program as part of our broader suite of learning and development opportunities,” he said.

“It reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in our people, nurturing their growth, and fostering a culture of leadership within our organisation.”
