WITH Western United Football Club kicking off the Isuzu UTE A League Men season, kids aged sixteen and under will be able to go to the first three Ballarat games for free.

Running from mid-November to early December, the 2023/2024 season’s first three Ballarat games will take place at Western United’s regional home ground at Mars Stadium.

Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis said the initiative is about encouraging more attendees to cheer on the Green and Black at their local base.

“With such a strong football community in Ballarat we want to use these home matches to bring everyone together and unite all levels of football,” he said.

“We recently hosted the Western United Cup, our girls and women three-day tournament, at Morshead Park and we absolutely loved the passion for football and enthusiasm people in the region have for our great game.

“The City of Ballarat, local football clubs and schools in the region have been significant supporters of the club from the very first season and we want even more locals to get on board the green and black this A Leagues season.

“We really want everyone to rally together and get behind John and the boys at these games, let’s show Australia how much we’ve grown and how important football is to the community of Ballarat.”

The Ballarat matches will see Western United go up against the Newcastle Jets, Adelaide United, and Wellington Phoenix.

To access children’s free entry, attendees will need to register for a Liberty Pass which will also get them into all A League Women matches at Fraser Rise in Melbourne Western suburbs at no cost.

Liberty Passes can be accessed at bit.ly/3M8D2Vs, while adult memberships are $75 and upwards and are available at Western United’s website.
