FOLLOWING a recent fundraising event run by the Ladder Frame Collective the theatre company’s creative director Zara Wilson has been able to hand over a donation of $2000 to the Ballarat City Fire Brigade.

Lieutenant James Raynes and captain Nicole McGrath accepted the funds and said the money will go towards a new, and much needed, thermal imaging camera.

“This is fantastic, I can’t believe what an amazing job they have done,” Ms McGrath said. “To be able to add this piece of equipment to our role and our capabilities is a huge bonus not just us, but the CFA more broadly.”

Having raised almost $4000 at their recent fundraising event, Ms Wilson said the other half of will go towards actors, crew members and people who are taking part in an upcoming Ladder Frame Collective showcase.

“We want to make sure that artists are respected for their work,” she said.

Ladder Frame are currently working on their first original piece, Big Women, set for Volta on 26 February.
