ALTHOUGH the gallery itself remains closed, as of last Friday the Art Gallery of Ballarat’s shop will re-open to the public.

With slightly altered opening hours from 10am to 5pm, visitors will be welcome to browse and purchase from the Gallery’s range within those hours from Wednesday through to Sunday.

From artisanal products including exhibition related products, gifts, jewellery to original artworks by local makers and artists, the shop houses a variety of goods suited for anyone from gallery visitors to people looking for gifts and artworks.

Some of the new lines set to be sold on the gallery’s shop include jewellery by Georgia Morrison, giftware from Made by Mill and handmade Australian jewellery by Daylesford-based maker Jess Hunter of The Hunters True.

Although, the State Government’s third step restrictions for regional areas means that the shop can re-open, the Art Gallery itself will remain closed until fourth step is announced.

As such, the reopening of the Gallery Shop is subject to a COVID-safe plan being implemented which includes housing one person per four square meters, rigorous cleaning of the goods and shop and signage.
