Get ready, it’s Show time!
Popular community event is on this Friday, Saturday and Sunday
THE time is now for the Ballarat Times 2023 Ballarat Show and there is so much fun in store!
Taking place from Friday 10 November until Saturday 12 November there are plenty of activities, rides and entertainment on offer for people of all ages.
“It’s the ninetieth birthday that the Show is celebrating and it’s shaping up to be a really great weekend with a great buzz around town,” said Show ambassador Tim Bone.
“We haven’t had a really bold and big show with COVID over the last few years, so I think everyone’s really excited about it.”’
Kids 14 and under can attend the Show for free and there are a range of free activities on offer such as cooking demonstrations by Tim Bone, biscuit making, animal interactions and blacksmith demonstrations.
“A big plus for this weekend is that kids 14 and under get in free which is great especially with the cost of living and families tightening the purse strings,” Bone said.
“For the show organisers to offer that is really fantastic.”
Kryal Castle will be showing off the magic of jousting at Broadhead Arena and Kiera and Max will be sharing the art of whip cracking.
The fun doesn’t stop there with fireworks to light up the sky on Friday night marking the perfect beginning to the festivities.
“We’ve got the fireworks on the Friday night and the weather is looking perfect, so I think we’ll get a huge crowd,” said Bone.
“I’ve got a special toastie I’ve created just for the show weekend which is the Katy Perry firework toastie that is an explosion of flavour in your mouth.”
