Glamour at the Cup

THE Elysium Day Spa Fashions on the Field will be a jewel in the crown of the Ballarat Petstock Pacing Cup when the horses hit the track on Saturday, 19 January.

Entrants frocking up for the event have the chance to show off their signature style and win some fabulous prizes, including Elysium spa treatments.

An Elysium Pamper Area will also be on site with Napoleon Perdis products, to provide any complimentary makeup touch-ups ladies may need.

Ballarat and District Trotting Club’s Belinda Eden said it’s a great event for all ages and two categories will have a winner – Best Dressed Child and Best Dressed Lady.

“We encourage the kids to get involved,” she said.

Fifteen ladies and 20 children – boys and girls – entered last year and Mrs Eden hopes to see that strong attendance maintained on Saturday.

Competitor, Tatiana Collier, loves the chance to dress up and has been following Fashions on the Field events for years, entering at spring racing carnivals on and off.

“I like the atmosphere, they’re always fun,” she said. “I look forward to seeing what other people are wearing, I like the creativity behind outfits and getting ideas from other people. It’s an elegant little side thing to do and I enjoy the opportunity to enter and win.”

She said the involvement of a “lovely” local business like Elysium adds to the event’s credibility.

Gates open at 5pm for the Cup and the Fashions on the Field event will begin at 8pm.

Late registrations can also be made in the pamper area.

Entry is free into the Elysium Day Spa Fashions on the Field, but does not include admission at the gate.
