Golden Plains Arts Trail closed

ORGANISERS of this weekend’s Golden Plains Arts Trial have announced that the event is off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The move comes following advice from Golden Plains Shire.

“GP Arts Inc are disappointed to announce the postponement of their Golden Plains Community Arts Trail that was scheduled for this weekend,” said Marita Reynolds, secretary for the Arts Trail committee.

Ms Reynolds said the group would look to reschedule the weekend long event for later in the year if possible.

The two-day event would have seen more than 50 artists across 22 venues all over the Shire invite members of the community into their work spaces, studios and galleries to get a first hand look at the creative process.

The move comes after Golden Plains Shire took steps to shut down non-essential services like face-to-face customer service and a range of other community events.
