THE region’s finest food, drink and entertainment will be on full display as the Geelong Beer Festival returns, with first release tickets now on sale.

January 18 will see Johnstone Park come to life with a curated program featuring world-class breweries, cideries, distilleries, cocktail specialists, local street food and more.

Festival director Kieran Blood said the festival wanted to push the envelope and create unforgettable moments, catering to all interests and walks of life.

“It’s not just about beer; it’s about creating connections, discovering new flavours and sharing in a collective experience.

“The Geelong Beer Festival serves as a vital hub for artisan producers, musicians, entertainers and artists.”

Live entertainment is included with each festival tickets, with performances taking place across multiple stages.

Multiple stages will host live entertainment throughout the day including performances from British India, Fellpe Baldomlr, Jordy Maxwell, and other local musicians.

At the Sound Lounge, attendees can enjoy DJ and saxophone sets and participate in the dance-off competition.

There will be food pairings, blind tastings and industry forums will take place on the Masterclass Stage, while acrobats and family-friendly roaming performers will provide fun for all ages across the festival grounds.

The festival caters for a range of interests with artisan producers, musicians, entertainers and artists.

It is expected more than 5,000 people from across Victoria and interstate will head to Geelong for the festival, providing a significant boost to the Geelong economy.

“This is a challenging time for our industry, and without the support of our community, we wouldn’t be here,” Mr Blood said.

“Now more than ever, it’s vital to support local businesses.

“We are proud to showcase our local producers and venues from the Geelong, Bellarine, Surf Coast and Otway regions.”

The Geelong Beer Festival will run from 12 noon until 8pm.
