APPLICATIONS are open for the State Government’s business growth fit-for purpose grants as part of the Distillery Door Program.

The grants aim to support distillers to expand production, create new products and reach new customers.

Grants of up to $200,000 will be available for projects that help distillers to grow their business such as new equipment, technology, or promotional projects.

Investment is encouraged in areas that will expand distilleries and create new opportunities and growth for the industry.

“Victoria is home to some of the finest distilleries, producing world-class spirits that showcase local craftsmanship, create jobs, and position the state as the Australian leader of premium, homegrown spirits,” Minister for Agriculture Ros Spence said.

“These grants will provide significant support to help Victorian distilleries expand, upgrade their equipment, and bring more locally made products to market.”

The Distillery Door Program has provided more than $7 million to support the distillery industry.

Victoria has more than 180 distillers that employ over 9000 people.

Applications close Tuesday 25 March and can be made at agriculture.vic.gov.au.
