THE City of Ballarat is asking people to help shape the draft master plan for the Brown Hill Recreation Reserve.

The plan comes following community feedback provided by the Brown Hill Progress Association last year.

Participants can share their thoughts on and usage of the space via a long or short online survey which is open until Friday, July 15.

Cr Peter Eddy said it was important to involve the community in developing the site.

“As councillors, we have a responsibility to listen to the needs of our residents and really understand what it is they want from our current and future plans,” he said.

“The Brown Hill Recreation Reserve is much loved by the local community and for many it is the heart of the suburb, so we want to make sure the people of Brown Hill and the wider Ballarat community are part of this master plan development process.”

A drop-in session was held at the site last week where people voiced their priorities directly to councillors and project managers.
