Italian community marks Republic Day

BALLARAT’S Italian community, students from Siena Catholic Primary School Lucas, and City of Ballarat councillors Jim Rinaldi and Ted Lapkin celebrated Italian Republic Day on Monday 2 June. The Italian flag was raised at the Intercultural Garden to commemorate the event. Italian Republic Day is held annually and marks the day Italians voted to become a republic following World War Two.
