Johno’s job ad on a hire-level
Now the businesses’ humorous online ad posted on Seek is gaining attention for its jokes, references, and loving digs at Ballarat.
“You will embrace our company like it was your own. Not exactly like it’s your own. Don’t take money out of the safe,” the ad reads.
“If you already live in Ballarat, bonza. You already have a massive kitchen and a Kathmandu jacket. You’re half-way there.”
Beneath pop culture references and a light-hearted tone, the company co-director Charlie Johnson said the business looking for someone to aid with growth and manage their employees.
He said the humorous ad is on-brand for Jono & Johno which has strived to put employees first, especially during the pandemic.
“We’ve got 50 staff now and we’ve got six managers and it’s just become too difficult for us to be looking directly after them,” Mr Johnson said.
“As much as it’s a bit of a laugh in there, it definitely represents who we are.”
Jono & Johno are looking for the perfect candidate for the position and Mr Johnson said there are plenty of reasons to work for them.
“They get to work with me so that’s a start,” he said. “My business partner Grant and I, we just like to foster a happy friendly environment.”
“We’re looking for someone to come in and give us guidance and bring in ideas and people that value being able to set some direction themselves and value being listened to.”
