Latest designs open for display
THE grand opening of a new set of display homes in Lucas is set for this Saturday with events and activities marking the occasion.
The model homes located on Blomeley Drive will be open from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 7 October showcasing the latest designs from Victorian builders.
As part of the event will be a candy themed obstacle course, a showing of Disney’s Elemental, face painting, a Ballarat Miners Basketball Club pop up, an animal farm, and wood painting.
“We’ll have people at the entrance providing maps because there will be a fair bit of activity going on,” said Sara Coghlan, marketing manager at Integra, developers of the estate.
“We’ve got Power FM conducting a live broadcast, Rotary helping out with a sausage sizzle and a lot of family fun activities.”
The aim of the event is to share why Lucas is a show off live in the growing suburb, live including its amenities and family orientated environment.
“We’ve got terrific engagement with the parks and the activities that are available,” said Ms Coghlan.
“It is important for people who are looking to buy to make sure they can see the fun that can be had.
“There’s really that opportunity to have everything centralised in Lucas.”
The day is also a chance to display what Victorian builders like Metricon have to offer.
They are investing $10 million in display homes in the regional west and will be constructing two new freedom homes with new facades in the Lucas estate.
“We partner with these builders and I think it’s really important to make sure there’s a boost in the building industry and there’s that migration happening in Ballarat,” said Ms Coghlan.
“There is that need to expand so we want to showcase some of the great builders on offer.”
