A PARTNERSHIP between Central Highlands Water and the Ballarat Miners which is about health, hydration and the environment is set to continue this year.

The Choose Tap ambassador program aims to encourage the local community to stay hydrated and protect the environment.

“We are thrilled to Choose Tap and continue our long-standing partnership with Central Highlands Water,” said Basketball Ballarat CEO Neville Ivey.

“We are proud to have all our players, coaches and staff across the venue opting for a reusable water bottle, so we can reduce our single-use plastic waste.”

There are five Choose Tap water fountains located at Selkirk Stadium and Ballarat Miners supporters are encouraged to use a reusable drink bottle.

Stainless steel Miners drink bottles are also available for purchase with all proceeds going towards Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative.

“The Miners are positive advocates for our Choose Tap program, both on the basketball court and out in the region as part of their extensive community programs,” said Jeff Haydon, Central Highlands Water managing director.

“We look forward to collaborating with the Miners community around the benefits of drinking tap water for health and hydration, but to also eliminate single-use plastic water bottles for the environment.”
