AN event designed to provide regional beauty therapists and business owners with the same access to professional opportunities as those in metropolitan areas is coming to Ballarat.
The Regional Beauty Long Lunch will be held at the Goods Shed on Sunday 18 May presented by educator and beauty therapist Karen Geiszler.
The day-long event will include guest speakers Isabella Loneragan, James Vivian, Rachael Stevens, Kayla Zigic, and Emelly Simons, and be hosted by Tamara Reid.
There will be an all-day degustation menu, exhibitor stands, gift bags, and door prizes.
“It’s a day to celebrate them as a business owner and to give them education, conversation and connection,” Ms Geiszler said.
“They get to be up close and personal with some of the industry keynote speakers which they would not have the opportunity if they went to a bigger event.”
Ms Geiszler said the aim of the event is to close the accessibility gap between metropolitan and regional beauty professionals.
Previous events have been held in Tamworth, Launceston, Bundaberg, and more.
“This day is an event to celebrate the collective strength and share ambitions with regional therapists,” Ms Geiszler said.
“I created this event as I travelled around all of Australia doing bespoke in clinic training and I was having the same conversations with regional and remote therapists.
“They can’t afford to close their business for the day, they can’t afford to take their team interstate.”
