NATIONAL Basketball League action returns to Selkirk Stadium tomorrow night as Melbourne United play a pre-season game against Brisbane Bullets.

United coach Dean Vickerman said he expects all his 12 rostered players will get time on the court against the strong Queensland side.

“[The Bullets have] high-level imports… and young Aussie talent, so we expect them to have a lot of juice and play with a whole lot of energy,” he said.

United are spending their pre-season camp in Ballarat, running skills clinics at schools, junior clubs, representative sides, and coaches.

“It’s a chance to get away… as a fairly new team with a lot of new additions to our roster this year, and spend some time on the court, on our culture, and engaging with the community,” Vickerman said.

“It’s something during COVID we didn’t get to do a lot of, so we want to make sure we do a great job… coming out to Ballarat and regional areas

“It’s so important to what we do. As a coaching staff… we’ll make sure the players are putting smiles on faces because that helps the game grow and helps people become a fan of United. We hope the kids have a great time.”
