Music of Spinal Tap coming to town
YOU Am I will head to Karova Lounge to perform the songs of heavy metal parody band, Spinal Tap next month.
The Australian alternative rockers will be in Ballarat on Wednesday, 10 April to pay tribute to Spinal Tap, a fictional band made famous in the 1984 musical mockumentary comedy, This is Spinal Tap.
You Am I said “blind devotion” is the reason for the concert series and nothing else, having toured Spinal Tap’s music in 2018.
“Our life as a band has only become Tapper, and we wanna get Spinal and primal with y’all,” they said. “It’s time again to align your chakras and smell the glove.”
After Ballarat, You Am I is taking the show to the Corner Hotel during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, then to Newcastle and Sydney.
