JAYCO Ballarat’s RV dealership will continue operations but now under the new ownership of the Blood Motor Group.

The new company aims to bring a fresh look and feel to the dealership and hope to continue trading despite the lockdown restrictions.

Blood Motor Group managing director Sean Blood said he’s excited for the negotiations that have been ongoing for months have finally come to fruition.

“I grew up in Ballarat, so the region is very special to me and I know it quite well,” he said.

“As a family business, it was a perfect fit for us, as Jayco is a great family business and supports the same philosophy and approach we have in providing all Australians a safe, affordable and accessible way to see our great country.

“We’re very excited to be part of that growth and journey to come.”

spike in domestic travel.

Mr Blood said he’s excited at the prospect of residents opting to drive around and explore what’s in their backyards.

“Like many Victorian businesses, we are facing a number of challenges due to the COVID-19 crisis and the new restrictions in place,” he said.

“Although international travel is off-limits, there has been a rise in caravanning right across the country, which means more and more people are hitting the road to explore their own backyards.

“I think now more than ever, people appreciate the value of travelling around Australia.”

Blood Motor Group currently operates more than nine motor dealerships around the country and are now aiming to bring its premium service to Ballarat.

Mr Blood said they’ve got plans underway to give the location a facelift while retaining many components of the previously successful business.

“We plan to renovate the front area of the dealership, giving it a more premium look and to allow a better flow of the dealership,” he said.

“We’re also keen to introduce a number of proven practices and procedures like a servicing hub to make the overall experience and journey better and more enjoyable.

“Ballarat is home to our team so we can’t wait to work hard to deliver a great service so our customers can enjoy their next great escape.”
