A CHIEF redevelopment and infrastructure officer has been appointed at Grampians Health.

A site engineer, and construction industry professional of 25 years, Veronica Furnier-Tosco is set to lead the construction of Ballarat Base Hospital’s redevelopment worth $541.6 million.

Ms Furnier-Tosco said she’s stepping on board at Grampians Health at a time of positive change.

“I am excited to be able to share my experience in infrastructure delivery with the team and continue the journey with them,” she said.

“I’m passionate about creating a learning environment where people are encouraged to develop and maximise their potential while achieving positive outcomes.

“This is what I will be focussing on while helping to deliver many exciting infrastructure projects for our region.”

Ms Furnier-Tosco has worked for City of Melbourne, Court Services Victoria, and Parks Victoria, and was part of Marvel Stadium, CityLink, and Docklands Marina construction works.

She will also lead redevelopments at Grampians Health’s Stawell, Horsham, Dimboola and Edenhope sites.

“Veronica’s passion for continuous improvement and championing inclusion, diversity, and social responsibility within the construction industry and government will be an invaluable addition to the team,” Grampians Health CEO Dale Fraser said.

“We are thrilled to have Veronica on our team, working across all Grampians Health’s campuses to deliver modern facilities that will provide our communities with the best possible care, including care closer to home.”
