New V/Line timetable to begin next month

November 15, 2024 BY

A NEW V/Line timetable will take effect in December with three evening peak services extending to Bacchus Marsh instead of terminating at Melton.

Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams announced changes on the Ballarat, Albury and Bendigo lines increasing options for regional travellers.

Five morning and five afternoon Bacchus Marsh services will also be shorted by three to five minutes and two special weekend services on the Albury and Bendigo lines will be made permanent.

“We’re adding almost 100 new services across Victoria’s regional public transport network – making it easier for Victorians to get to where they need to go,” said Ms Williams.

“We’re delivering more modern and reliable trains and giving passengers more travel options to travel around our state.”

The changes are in response to increased popularity of V/Line services following the regional fare cap.

The new timetable will begin Sunday 1 December, and more information can be found at ptv.vic.gov.au, vline.com.au or by calling 1800 800 007.
