THIS financial year the City of Ballarat will allocate more than seven hundred thousand dollars in partnership funding.

Recipient groups of the City Partnerships Program have been confirmed and 15 organisations will be given funding totalling $2 million over the next three financial years.

The program is designed to fund organisations to complete well-planned projects which will benefit the community.

Some of this year’s recipients include Ballarat Renewable Energy and Zero Emissions or BREAZE, the Ballarat Permaculture Guild and the Hidden Orchard, and the Ballarat International Foto Biennale.

Mayor Cr Des Hudson said the program is a great way to support local initiatives and work towards the goals of the Council Plan 2021-2025.

“There were some fantastic applications in our second year of the City Partnerships program and we thank everybody for taking the time to make submissions,” he said.

“This year our successful applicants cover a wide range of interest areas including sports, the arts, environment, local business, and community development organisations.

“We look forward to continuing to work closely with these organisations to help them achieve our combined goals and make Ballarat a better place.”

The full list of recipients can be found on the City of Ballarat website.
