Pop the corks! Wedding expo returns
LOCAL business Ivory Haus will be holding its wedding fair this October and is looking to celebrate Ballarat-based wedding vendors.
The event is set to showcase wedding businesses in the region, giving the community an opportunity to talk with experts about their big day.
“We started Ivory Haus back in 2018 when we realised that there was no real wedding expo in Ballarat which highlighted local businesses, because the only expo we had was owned from out of town and attracted a lot of vendors from Melbourne,” said co-founder of Ivory Haus, Laura Feldman.
“When we discovered how much money couples were spending on their weddings, we wanted to create an event to encourage people to spend their money in Ballarat.”
This is the second Ivory Haus wedding expo for the year due to the popularity of the previous event held in March.
As part of the October fair, the first 50 engaged couples through the door will receive a showbag along with a free wedding planner and there will also be prizes, giveaways, free bubbles on arrival, as well as music and food available.
“It’s just a lot of fun and attendees can expect to meet a variety of local businesses that have a wide range of prices and suit all different types of budgets,” said Ms Feldman.
“Planning a wedding is an exciting time so people will get VIP treatment and it’s also a visual feast for the eyes.”
Entry to the expo is by a donation to Raven Collective Services, a local organisation that provides education and support to women who have experienced domestic violence.
“I think Ballarat is just a wonderful community to be part of and it’s nice to be able to give back in this space,” said Ms Feldman.
“When I discovered Raven I thought it was a brilliant social enterprise helping women who have experienced domestic violence.”
The expo will be held Sunday 8 October at The Goods Shed. To find out more visit ivoryhaus.com.au.
