Purrrrrrfect partnership for SpringFest
PETSTOCK is back on board for November’s SpringFest and there are bringing the fun for four and two legged friends alike.
While there’s still a great range of activities on offer in the PETStock Pet Corner, this year the born and bred Ballarat company is putting a focus on pet adoption.
“We’re going to have a doggy chillout zone with some pools and bowls,” said PETStock La Trobe Street store manager Tanya Willison.
“We’ll have some grooming happening, stuff for the kids and giveaways. We’re also going to have our local rescue group there to show that we really support local adoption and rescue groups.
“We don’t support puppy faming or home breeding. We’re really behind pet adoption.”
Rotary Club of Ballarat member Ian Moyle will be coordinating the PETStock Pet Corner, a role he’s taken on, and enjoyed, for the last few years.
“I just like animals,” he said. “We’ll have ponies and rabbits. It’s a great attraction for kids because they can pat the animals.
“PETStock have just been wonderful to us and we appreciate it immensely. It’s just so good to have local businesses because they understand the work that we do and where the money goes. All the money that comes out of SpringFest goes to local charities and schools.”
SpringFest Ballarat, presented by Optus, is project of the Rotary Club of Ballarat. The huge event is set for Sunday, 24 November. Visit ballaratspringfest.com.au for more information.
