LOCAL students Isabella Davies and Jacob de Kort have been awarded this year’s Youthrive Victoria scholarships supported by Community Bank Creswick and District.
The scholarships will support the students through their tertiary education. They were selected from more than 300 applications.
Ms Davies was awarded the Youthrive Victoria rural university scholarship, which includes $30,000 of financial support over three years as well as mentoring and leadership development opportunities.
She will study for a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
Mr de Kort, from Clunes, received the Rural Chances Scholarship and will study for an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying.
The scholarship provides $5000 to young people completing vocational education.
“We are pleased to continue our partnership with Youthrive Victoria and provide scholarships for these worthy young people from our district,” Community Bank Creswick and District chair Janine Booth said.
“We are really very excited to see what the future holds for both Bella and Jacob.”
Youthrive Victoria CEO Andrew McGuckian thanked the Community Bank for its ongoing support and encouraged other organisations interested in supporting young people to get in touch.
