Santa’s heading to Kryal Castle!

THE man of the moment, Santa Claus, will be making a special appearance at Kryal Castle this weekend.

For the first time, the grounds are set to adorned with decorations and lights with carols playing to get visitors in the festive spirit.

“It’s been a dream of ours to have a Christmas event,” said Kryal Castle CEO Bart Hamilton.

“We wanted to bring some Christmas fun and give some extra enjoyment to people who are coming before Christmas.”

Attendees will have the chance to chat with Santa and a photographer will be on site to take pictures.

“We’ve got a Christmas market, reindeers who will be there and photos with the elves and Santa,” said Mr Hamilton.

“The weather looks like it’s going to be great so I think people will be out and about.”

Following this year’s event, Mr Hamilton has plans for an even bigger one in 2024 themed around 12 days of Christmas.

“We want to do a full 12 days leading up to Christmas where we turn the castle into a Christmas wonderland,” he said.

“I think there’s a gap in the market in Ballarat for that traditional Christmas experience which we’d like to fill.”

Santa will be at Kryal Castle Saturday 16 December and Sunday 17 December and to book tickets visit the venue’s website.
